Civil Rights Movement
The civil rights movement was a period of civil unrest and social reform between 1954 and 1968. This course introduces the civil rights movement and covers its background in the immediate aftermath of World War II. Additionally, it covers the major fronts on which civil rights activists worked to abolish racial segregation and discrimination, including in the education system and across public transportation, along with the opposition they encountered. Finally, it assesses the contributions of some of the most famous civil rights activists, including Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X. This course is designed for anyone interested in the civil rights movement; however, it's specifically linked to specification content for the following qualifications.
